Blue light has the highest energy in the visible light spectrum. Blue light penetrates deeper into the eye, reaching the sensitive retina at the back.

Sources of blue light include the sun, lightbulbs, LED lights and electronic screens.

Blue light from electronic devices may cause Digital Eye Strain. Symptoms include headaches, dry, itchy eyes, and trouble falling asleep.

Is it your first time buying prescription lenses online? No stress! We will explain the process to you below 😊

Firstly, you will need a copy of your prescription to buy glasses online. Please note that contact lenses and glasses prescriptions are different.

Once you have found your favourite pair, you can enter your prescription manually after pressing Select Lenses above. Please provide us with a copy or photo of your prescription so we can check that all the details are correct and mistake-free. You will also need to measure your pupillary distance. Find out how with the select lenses option above.

We got your order! Now, we check the details and send the glasses you've chosen to the optical manufacturer in Sydney, where they create your prescription lenses and add the blue light coating. They then send it back to us before we send it to your address. 

And that's it! You'll have your Glamour Glasses with prescription lenses in under three weeks. Unfortunately, we can't send out your glasses any sooner due to the shipping back and forth required. We also can't offer any change-of-mind returns for prescription lenses. We're really sorry about that, and we hope you'll forgive us! We're really proud of the quality of our lenses, and be sure we'll be working to provide a smoother prescription process in the future.

The short answer is about 10 to 20 business days. The long answer is it's a long process!

When we receive your prescription, we first check all the details and make sure it's good to go.

We then ship your chosen frames to Sydney, where we have a lens specialist craft them to your prescription, add the blue light coating, and install the lenses. They then ship them back to us. Once we get them, we'll express-post them to you. Phew!

We recommend getting your eyes tested at least every two years. Your prescription should not be more than two years old. If your prescription has expired, please get in touch with your optometrist.

The recommended interval for getting your eyes tested depends on your age and health conditions. If you are: diabetic, have a family history of glaucoma, are under the age of 17 or are over the age of 70, then you need to test your eyes every year. If you are not sure, check with your optometrist.
